Dreamland: A Simple Night Sky

A Painting Tutorial for Kids and Kids at Heart

image.png
Hi everyone, here's a new painting with basic and easy steps. I used this tutorial in @creativestreet's recent art workshop : Sining Autismo : A Painting Workshop for Persons with Austism. And they like it :)

See full post here.

So here are the materials that you'll need:

Paint BrushFlat and Pointed
Acrylic / Latex PaintBlack , Blue and White or a color of your choice
SpongeFor Stamping
CanvasI used a stretched canvas, but you can also use a cardboard
WaterFor Cleaning the Brush

PROCESS:

Prepare the background by applying a black paint on the top of the canvas

Then apply a blue paint after the black one to create a gradient effect

Commercial : i used a toddler's brush on this tutorial :)

To complete the background, add a white paint on the remaining space of the canvas and make sure to mix it well with the blue one. You can add water (small part) on the painting to smoothen the gradient effect.

You can add more details on the background. You can also apply different colors such as violet, green or anything you want to show and express.

This is the most exciting part for me, the stars!!!
Using your brush and white paint with small amount of water ( that should be mixed very well) sprinkle the paint on the paint. You can tap your paint brush on top of your painting and aww the paint drops on your canvas. Apply as many as you want.

We will stamp a moon using a circular sponge with white paint.

Think where you want to put the moon.

Press the sponge against the canvas

And you have the moon.

Next is to add your landscape. In this part I added mountain range using white paint.

To add the tress, i used black paint and a fine brush

And then Add the leaves of your trees as much as you want to.

Watch pout for the second easy tutorial of Day Time :

I hope you all like it!

Thank you so much

I especially like those stars and the moon. Creating the moon with a sponge is very creative. I also love the sky, it's very dark but those stars make it look much brighter. Overall it's a complete artwork and it looks truly nice.

Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend!

Congratulations on your curie vote!

Thank you so much @delishtreats :)

Ooo my God.... Such an amazing artwork you have in there. In fact you really got me looking at the final work over and over again. I really love how you treated the sky from the land, the snow effects running in the background and how you finally added the plants. They really look amazing.

I also love the fact that you showed a step by step practice of how one can also make himself or herself one of this painting. Good work and keep the sharing spirit up always

Very nice, @aalagenesis :D Love these kinds of tutorial ! The layout is nice and simple and it is motivating for art beginners :)

Some of the pictures seem not to have loaded properly though :(

Can you check the links to a few of your images and re-do them ?

Would LOVE to see the post with all the proper pictures showing up :D

Thank you so much @veryspider :)
I like to make it tranquil

I hope the photos are okay now

Very creative and yet the sponge is so effective for the moon. I am sure everyone involved with the autism classes loves what you are doing.Great detailed step by step tutorial.

Thank you so much :) Using sponge is an easy way to create a moon because of the texture :)

hi @aalagenesis
it's a beautiful job, and I love it when you show all the steps of a job. I find it extraordinary that you do this painting workshop for Persons with Autism. Do you work with disabled people or do you do it for passion and voluntary work?
Congratulations and thank you for sharing with us

Thank you so much @road2horizon 😊
It's a collaboration project We in Creative Street (@creativestreet, a group with the advocacy of sharing abd teaching arts and crafts with the Filipino Children especially the underprivileged kids) and A Spectrum (a group with the advocacy of sharing awareness about Autism) did. It's one of my passion, you are right :)

Thank you so much again

I find your activity very beautiful. It would take more people like you and your group to make the world better. thank you

we'll take that with all our heart, Thank you for your kind words :)
