    There is a product from this company https://timeular.com/pricing/ which likes to solve that problem and looks nice, but I don't like their "cloud" vendor-locked bullshit behind. I'm using/building something from scratch for my own use to track time (based on a wemos D1 tiny ESP board), which is very basic, has the open source solution Kimai (www.kimai.org) as backend (self hosted, no cloud and no shitcoin blockchain). I'm very interested in your IoT device and I'd like to follow the DIY aproach.

      I would be interested in downloading and creating my own, but only if the effort (and tools required) for assembling it, are manageable.
