What will you think if I decide to put a huge dolmen on a Porto Torres pier?
This is just an exercise but it could be dangerous. Do not try this at home!
So we are in Porto Torres, a town on the north coast of Sardinia that has an important commercial port. We need to design a building for residences that also has alternative support functions to the port itself.
Below the mega-structure, the "monster".

In fact, before we came to produce this 3D model, the way was complex.

Whoa, so this will be a residential project idea? I would assume that the containers are lifted via some lift system or need a crane service to do it?
It would be a multifunctional building, with residences and public services (the colors of the sections represent the functions, dark red is for the residences). In the last section you can see a freight elevator (schematic). The idea would be that they hook the containers directly from the ships ... :D

ma ....la scala architettonica? Mi sembra tanto.....ma tanto....Già hanno la zona industriale che si impone non poco...
ahah... ma certo è solo una specie di esercizio di stile questo. E' una cosa irrealizzabile ovviamente. Una montagna del genere toglierebbe tutta la visuale del mare. L'idea formale di una nave che arriva, appunto, che è sempre fuori scala...
ah, ora sono più tranquilla......
