This is the 'Theatre Royal de la Monnaie' in Brussels and it is my entry for this week Juliank's architectural photography contest ...

It is one of the Opera houses in Brussels...

This Theater was built on the place that had served to mint coins and that is why its French name 'Monnaie'

the building has been rebuilt several times, the original one was built between 1695 and 1700,

the last reconstruction was after the fire of 1855, when was reconstructed after the designs of Joseph Poelaert and that is the facade you can see in this photograph
