Sky Tower, Sky City, Auckland, New Zealand

If you ever find yourself in Auckland you will be hard pressed to miss this building as it dominates the city skyline.

The Sky Tower is an observation and telecommunications tower located at the corner of Victoria and Federal Streets in the Auckland CBD, Auckland, New Zealand.
It is 328 metres (1,076 ft) tall, as measured from ground level to the top of the mast, making it the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere and the 23rd tallest tower in the world.

Every year upwards of a half a million people visit the upper floors of the tower to take in the views and enjoy New Zealand's only revolving restaurant. Some of those people are even brave enough to take the sky jump.

The tower also features the "SkyJump", a 192-metre (630 ft) jump from the observation deck, during which a jumper can reach up to 85 km/h (53 mph). The jump is guide-cable-controlled to prevent jumpers from colliding with the tower in case of wind gusts.
