Architectural Photography – Fluid, Funky Facade, Kampong Bahru, Singapore
This is my entry in the ArchitecturalPhotography contest by @juliank.

During my final months in Singapore, this building was being constructed in the Kampong Bahru neighborhood, just south of Chinatown. Typical of many areas in Singapore, this neighborhood features a well-balanced blend of the new and the old, the modern and the traditional.
The fluid, funky facade of this building provides an interesting contrast to the traditional 2-storey shophouses flanking it – the purple and white shophouse on the left, and the blue and orange one on the right. At the same time, it fits into its surroundings perfectly.
Thank you for taking part in this months #culturevulture challenge. Good Luck.

I’ve been to Singapore last December but didn’t go to the china town. We just stayed near Marina bay and went to the Indian town. I love curry.
I like your picture and their colorful buildings/house. I have a question. This is my entry for the photography: Architectural I didn’t receive a reply from @photocontests anymore to all my entries if you check it out. Do you think it’s still counted?
Hmm, usually when you tag the post properly, you'll get a comment from @photocontests.
If you can ensure that you are tagging properly (e.g. #architecturalphotography), then you should contact juliank and explain the issue.
I think I did the proper tags. Thanks for the help. I will try to contact @juliank then, we'll see if I get through...
Hey how are things up in Chiang Mai? Sorry I haven't dropped past your page for a while! That building front reminds me of a cartoon! Glad to see you are keeping up the good work.
It would be great to see you enter a photo in my weekly photography contest:

All's well. I'm in Koh Samet for 2 weeks, but head back to CM on Monday. Taking another look at this photo, I see your point re the "cartoonish" aspect. Definitely so, but it's real.
I'll scan my photo files and see what I can find re Religious Iconography.
Good luck with your TEPChallenge.
Great to hear from you, I am extremely fond of Koh Samed. It has some lovely beaches and is within a manageable distance from Bangkok, enjoy your holiday! I will make it up to Chiang Mai one day!
Magnificent building, thank you for writing a small description to this photo. Thanks to the description, the photo acquires a completely new unique meaning. Good luck to you.

Nice architectural work there, kind of a combination of local and modern. But what actually captured my attention is the blue sky scraper behind by the right, it give some kind of beauty to the picture
Interesting building! I know nothing about architecture, but the neighborhood with the traditional and modern buildings on the background creates a fascinating, eclectic mix.
Wow its really amazing and beautiful photography i like it. Keep sharing. Best of luck for future.
