La Palau de la Música Catalana - The Architectural Gem
La Palau de La Música was designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner in Catalan Modernism style. Many people know associate Barcelona architecture with Antonio Gaudí but in Catalan Modernism Architecture style Lluís Domènech i Montaner has equal contribution.
The beautiful motifs and the mosaic are the mark of Catalan Modernism. It is a concert hall and apart from the beauty the acoustic in the hall is amazing as well.
It is located in El Born or La Ribera neighbourhood of Barcelona. It is surrounded by quite narrow streets and that is why it is hard to visualize or capture the whole beauty in one picture. For example, the picture above shows the primitive corner facade and sculptural of La canción popular catalana , by the artist Miguel Blay .
