Vishal Banana Leaf Curry Rice (Kuala Lumpur)
Today would like to introduce fellow Steemians one of the most famous Banana Leaf Curry Rice in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia- Vishal Banana Leaf。
The restaurant located strategically near to Kuala Lumpur Transportation Hub- KL Sentral. At such, tourists who is interested in trying out Banana Leaf Curry Rice , should give it a try considered not difficult to travel there by public transport.
After you have seated, the restaurant worker would lay a slice of banana leaf on your table, it serves as the plate for the meal.
The basic meal is of vegetarian dishes- fried potato, salad vege, and there's someone who specially tasked to distribute the curries- there are 3 choices of curries for you to choose- you can choose any or all of it to be poured on your banana leaf.
Then another guy will bring special dishes for patron to choose- basically meats. It's okay not to take any though. If you would like to taste the food in more local Indian way - You can opt for using hand (right hand) to eat.
The day I went was a Sunday, but it seems there were many customers in the restaurant as well- Cant imagine how crowded it is during normal working day lunch hour.
After the banana leaf curry meal, suggest to take a stroll to Kuala Lumpur Little India nearby to experience the India Culture in Malaysia. As our Malaysian Tourism slogan - "Malaysia, Truly Asia" suggests, we have 3 main Asian Cultures - Malay, Chinese & Indian, all can be seen in 1 place. The atmosphere in this part of KL Little India, would be like bringing you to travel in India.
