Singapore Chinatown Street Bazaar 牛车水新年气氛（下）之年货市场

Singapore Chinatown Street Bazaar officially launched last weekend! so happened we were having activity nearby, so fated to go Chinatown again in 2 continuous weekend.

牛车水的年货市场本星期也正式上场了，我这周末又有活动在那附近，就安排再去体验一下牛车水年货市场的热闹情况。

 

年货市场摊位就在登婆街 Temple Street。
CNY bazaar located at Temple Street.

琳琅满目的过年物品是五花八门，看的眼花缭乱。Large varieties of CNY stuffs can be found here.
腊肠与金华火腿 Chinese sausage & Jinhua Ham


旗袍 Cheong Sam:

年饼高如山 CNY Biscuit as tall as mountain


银柳 Silver Willow:


海苔脆饼选择也是超多。There is many varieties of seaweed crackers .

年货市场整条街的摊贩都有试吃安排，真的可以从街头走到街尾，试吃吃到饱.

Many vendors arranged free testing for their products- One indeed can have free tasting and full after walking through the street.


柿饼柚子好像蛮多摊都有卖的。Dried Persimmon


 

香港黄大仙庙的好运风车这里也有卖 Wind chimes of the same type as those in Famous Hong Kong Wong Tai Sin Temple.


花生种类也很多. Peanuts also of many variations.


不同口味的瓜子 Seeds of different tastes.


那其实牛车水年货市场，的确是新加坡内体验热闹农历新年气氛的最佳地点。摊贩的叫卖声此起彼落，新年歌也随处可听见。
Chinatown street bazaar indeed the best place to feel the Chinese New Year atmosphere in Singapore.


年货市场摆放从现在开始到除夕，也是大约2星期多而已，听一些新加坡朋友说，他们吃完除夕团圆饭，就会到牛车水扫便宜货，因为摊位限期到除夕而已，所以除夕当晚，商家就要清货了，省得搬来搬去。
Bazaar will be held from now until the reunion dinner night, so it's approximately 2 weeks plus only. And I get to know from my Singaporean friends that after reunion dinner, many like to flock to Chinatown for closing down bargain. As the bazaar ends on that night, stall owners opt for clearing the stock with discounts than moving all the inventory back to their warehouse. Sounds a good idea ya, win-win for both parties.

入夜后的牛车水灯饰，是不是看起来像金钱从天而降呢？
Does it look like money falling out from the sky with these lighting? Symbolising prosperity falls to every visitor here.



在美食街那里有个供人打卡的帐篷，挂满了小猪，形成满天猪。
There's a booth setup for visitors to "check-in ", with sky of little piggies.

牛车水也是宗教和谐之路，因为同一条街就有历史悠久的兴都教庙与回教堂加上华人文化的红黄灯笼交接，感觉和谐。

There are 2 historical Hinduism temple and mosque along the CNY bazaar, represents religious harmony in the community.

刚好路过看到印度人举行类似成年礼仪式。
