Intriguing mummified hand was discovered next to sarcophagi in Peru.

Did you take a good look at the image above? The strange whitish "claw" could easily be mistaken for the remains of some dead animal or, perhaps, a fossilized member of some prehistoric creature, right? However, everything seems to indicate that it is a very bizarre mummified hand - and preliminary analyzes have indicated that the piece does not appear to have been forged. Intriguing...

According to April Holloway, of the Ancient Origins portal, the copy would have been discovered in January 2016, in a kind of tunnel located in a desert region in southern Peru. The names of the people who found the mummified hand were not disclosed, but these individuals would have found a flat stone on the desert sand, and when it was removed, they found a small chamber containing two sarcophagi.

Bizarre discovery

According to April, inside the sarcophagi were found the mummified hand that you can check in more detail below, as well as a small elongated skull and a diminutive humanoid-looking body, all covered with a thin layer of clay.                                                                                                                                                                                 See the comparison between the mummified hand and the hand of an adult human                                                                            The people who discovered the artifacts sought the help of a researcher named Brien Foerster - who lives in Peru and also owns a company that organizes sightseeing tours based on the Inca culture. As the researcher explained, the individuals in possession of the items had no intention of selling the objects, but rather to discover their origin.

Intrigued, Foerster took the small skull and hand to Cusco for examination by a team of doctors, and preliminary analyzes indicated that they were composed of skin and bones - not made of materials such as wood, plaster or papier maché, for example - supporting the possibility that it is not a fraud.

More questions than answers

A series of X-rays has revealed that the hand has three fingers, and that each finger has six bones - twice as many as humans, which have only three bones per finger - and, with careful observation, it is even possible to identify nails. It is important to note that no one has claimed that it is alien remains! However, the suspicion that we are facing possible remains of alien beings has not been completely ruled out.                                                                                                                                                                                                           Foerster, the researcher who took on the mission of discovering the origin of the artifacts, plans to send the pieces later this year to the US for DNA testing and radiocarbon testing.
