This one, in particular, was hard for the judges to narrow it down. After some time they managed to do just that. The scoring was really close on this one between first, second, and third place. They say jokes are a great way to break the ice. For those who read past the first couple of line, it sure is in Inner Struggle. Players should always have the ultimate choice and even in today’s modern day gaming that is often lacking and void. You might have a couple of arcs in choices but don’t they normally end up in the same place? In his dream game, your actions have meaning behind them in form of good or bad consequences. I really love the idea of playing almost like it was your own life and suddenly you just find yourself going deeper and deeper one direction as the choices you made to get to that point keep building.

What makes up an amazing game is not always reinventing the wheel while that is fine as well. It is drawing inspiration from games you have love and joy for. In Silver Bullets it has a mix of the two. It starts off wanting a better VR experience that rivals what is currently on the market. From there it goes into great detail while using over a dozen existing examples of what he would like the game to be made up of to create it. He even goes on to include examples of skills, pvp, and some other really cool mechanics like player betting that would be in the game.

Who better than to tell us about his dream game than someone who has made their own games before? I can’t think of anyone better. In simply titled My Dream Game he focuses on the elements of transhumanism in video games and dares to think deeper in a more profound way about this topic in gaming. He toys with the ideas that are already in video games like respawning and third person view with how they would become a reality in such a game with the characters heightened consciousness. He also discusses how he would build up a very layered system to create an amazing integration into the game. From deep storylines right down to having weather affect what you interact with in this world.
