I'm done with apples fixed 2 year lifespan., here's how to hack it
All apple users know the problem. You buy a macbook pro and it works fine.. however the charger / adapter suddenly loses it and brakes with the result you need a new one. After more than 10 years of macbook use, i discovered that the adapter in all the times started to break after a period of 2 years. so I came to the conclusion it has to be fixed by apple, i know more people having the same problem. This time it's a bullseye again (for apple they think) and my new charger of 2 years starts to break again in te chord. However I am sick of buying a new one (90 euros) and fixed it myself before it gets worse. The result is the following:
what you need =
- Tape
- Tie rips
and wrapt that cable and tie rip it until its completely covered and.... well done you have hacked apple

That looks awful, for real. I can't blame you: My last Magsafe was faulty on the tip and I "fixed it" with paracord. It lasted over a year like that.
My first magsafe worked for 6 years without any issues. That "T" design was better in my opinion. The newer "L" tip is more prone to become faulty.
The best fix so far, the one I did myself, was to a replacement cord. It can be a generic one, that goes from the block to the MacBook. You just open the magsafe, remove the faulty cable an solder the new one. There you have, another 2 years of charging for $10 and $15 min of work.
