米アップルは、災害や遭難時に電波が届かない場所でもスマートフォンのアイフォーンから衛星通信経由で消防や警察などに緊急通報できるサービスを日本で提供すると発表したそうでアップルの緊急ＳＯＳ機能は災害時に救助を呼ぶ際の有効な手段になるらしい。
