Good morning steem blockchain! This is my first test post using the @appics dapp! ...
... I’ve been waiting excitedly for this photo sharing instagram like clone. I’ve been enjoying steepshot but I feel appics just might blow it out of the water! We shall see! I’m standing inside my geodesic dome greenhouse where we are growing citrus. Outside it’s freezing cold! But inside...we are growing #dfood !! These Moro blood oranges should be ready in late December. I’ll be shooting a #dtubesnap after I upload this test appics post! Please stay tuned and thanks for all your support fellow steemians!! 2019 is going to be the best year yet!!!

Why use appics when you could make the same post with steemit, steepshot, etc? This post looks like other posts I see on here (steemit).

i've also noticed that once you go into these apps like steepshot....you are exposed to a different communities... within the blockchain. similar to what i'm noticing with steemmonsters. once you meet and connect with people...on those areas of the blockchain...it all leads back to steemit/steempeak....the main portals. so cool to see it! communities growing and merging! perhaps at some point...such posts...from other DApps will not post to steemit. exyle has talked about that potential. we shall see. :)
great question. thanks @indigoocean ! as far as mobile applications....which i'm interested in....@partiko is a great option but you can only post one photo that i know of. @steepshot is awesome in my experience from the mobile...but they take 15 percent beneficiary rewards...and there's early bugs. however, with steepshot you can post up to 7 photos. it's so similar to instagram! as far as comparing steemit to these other mobile apps...it's hard for me to compare. maybe that same question was asked when instagram was developed? why not post your images to FB? i think the masses will use this blockchain...when they can do it from their phones. like instagram, fb and twitter apps. it's cool to now see partiko, steepshot and appics on my phone...next to those others. ;) if appics adds 7 photos..and keeps their no beneficiary rewards...then IMO...they have nailed an instagram mimic/clone...but wayyyyy better! :) steepshot may lose the battle for instagram mimic. that appics is SMT based and Ned is a contributor is interesting. huge marketing team. @mountainjewel are early adopters/investors...and have made good posts on it. hey... i LOVE your new video on STEEM! i'll post it here for others:

If I understand then, the main distinction is that on mobile you get to post more photos without losing any of your rewards to the platform. And it has its own token, so presumably you earn both their token and steem for each post?
I think I bought some during their ICO, and I'm enrolled in a testflight of theirs, but the one time I went I couldn't tell what was going on or why I would be there instead of here, so didn't go back.

Yes...that's the main distinction. i love your brain! For people like my mom or dad...who don't use steemit or blockchain....i can see them using apps like appics, where they may never even know they are on the steem blockchain. but..happily convert their appics tokens..into btc...then usd. i hope this business model works out for them...and for all of us. :) that's sooo cool you got in on the ICO!!!! i wish i had the funds at that time...or i would have absolutely invested. this is still their test flight phase. in fact, after watching this video..is how i learned how to access the test flight mode.
So tell me about geodesic domes. I don't get it. Why are folks so enthralled with them? I'm sure I'm missing something, so I'm asking out of ignorance.
