Das Gemüse auf dem großen Teller ist genau meine Richtung. Ich liebe große Bohnen. Ein altes norddeutsches Rezept: Groute Bohnen mit Speck. Große Bohnen auch Dicke Bohnen oder Saubohnen genannt, dürfen nicht zu reif sein, dann sind sie innen sehr "mehlig". Der Kern muß grünlich und fest sein. Der Geschmack ist leicht herb. Ein Fernsehkoch hat sogar die Bohnen nach dem Kochen geschält (aus der Schote müssen sie natürlich rausgeholt werden). Damit gehen die Ballaststoffe verloren, denke ich. Dazu passen Ripple, Bauchspeck und Würstchen aller Art mit Salzkartoffeln.
