... a lot of lessons and self teaching efforts and I can always have a small conversation with any Brazilian. But I like to be better. Today I re-started with a book I bought in the Sao Paulo airport. In the upcoming weeks I want to work my way through it and see if I can improve.

Eheheh well to anyone that can speak more than 1 language no matter how perfect I always appreciate. Because I don't think it is easy at all. I have always been more into numbers than letters lol I wish I was better with languages....it would be useful since I have decided to live abroad lol but no! my English is rubbish still lol stupid human brain.

Hartstikke goed Mark, succes!
Try the duolingo app. It's free. I've been using it to learn Spanish for over a year, and it's been helping me a lot. I try to do the daily streaks.
Thanks for the tip!
Boa sorte com seus estudos @exyle! (😂 did my best with presearch translate! I hope it makes sense!)
Obrigado!
only talk the language you want to learn, at home.
if you don't ask/talk about something, properly, correct words, and phrasing, you don't get it.
Good point. I improved loads in Brasil when I was over there. They don't speak English much so it forced me to speak more.
It is a good teacher, no speak = no eat/ drink or anything.
If she is a hard taskmaster, week 2 includes pronunciation.
Good luck!
