Day 4 Antarctic Expedition on the M/V Island Sky.
At 630am the ship had arrived at the North Entrance of the Lemaire Channel. The channel is between Booth Island and the Antarctic continent, which is quite narrow and absolutely breathtaking to cruise through. Personally, I had done this cruise quite a few times over the past few months BUT it never ceases to simply inspire and take your breath away.

Our morning excursion was to Petermann Island where the guests got to indulge in the beautiful sight that is the Gentoo and Adelie penguins that awkwardly waddled their way to the ocean for foraging.

The afternoon we head further south to the Verdansky station, which is a Ukrainian station that operates year-round. Interestingly, this is the station where they first discovered that a hole in the Ozone layer existed and they still do a lot of research on the Ozone at this very station.
