Ippo vs Vorg in Sportstal

Welcome to my out of the square sportstalk again. Today I'm still discussing about Hajime no Ippo anime. The fight of Ippo Makunouchi vs Alexander Vorg Zangief.

This was a really intense match of Ippo. After all, he was fighting against the former Amateur World Champion and the world champion in the later chapter. During the early rounds, we can see that Ippo was totally no match against Vorg. He got punched every now and then and got nothing he can do with it. He has been knocked down.

But coach Kamogawa, Ippo's coach and trainer, knew that Vorg didn't have enough stamina during the long fight because Vorg was used in lighter gloves and early rounder when he was amateur. So Ippo might have a chance in the later rounds.

Coach Kamogawa was right, Vorg was exhausted earlier that Ippo did. It was also the fruit of Ippo's harsh training for the stamina. But even when Ippo had the edge of stamina, it was still not easy because of Vorg's skill is exceptional and Ippo also was getting exhausted and then it turns out to the battle of will.

To make the story short, Ippo's will was stronger than Vorg's and Ippo did something that nobody has done. Ippo was the first opponent of Vorg who was able to dodge Vorg's specialty, the white fang and it led to Ippo's victory.
