What's up beautiful people!? ^^
Let me take switch on my otaku mode and talk about a certain anime called "Kimetsu no Yaiba".
Well "Kimetsu no Yaiba" is called "Demon Slayer in English, however, the name in Japanese 鬼滅の刃 is literally translated as "Blade of Destruction" which also makes sense because one of the best ways to kill demons in this series is to cut off their head using a special type of sword.
Well, I said one of the best ways because there are indeed other ways to kill demons like sunlight and poison them with wisteria flower. However, the later is needs a great concentration of the flower. At least, people are safe if their house is surrounded by wisteria.
What is the main story about?
This anime is about a guy called Tanjiro whose family was devoured/killed by a demon. The only family member he has left, his sister Nezuko, somehow survived but was turned into a demon himself. So, in search for ways to make his sister human again, Tanjiro found himself becoming a demon slayer and pursuing the ultimate cause and source of these power demons, Muzan.
Urokudaki Sakonji became like a father to both Nezuko and Tanjiro. After the incident with their family, they met one of the hashira (pillar), my favorite character Giyuu, and introduced them to Urokudaki. From then, Urokudaki took care of both of them while training Tanjiro in preparation of the Demon Slayer selection.
Tanjiro and Nezuko left Urokudaki's place after he became a demon slayer and was given various missions. Along the way, he met two interesting characters named Zenitsu and Inosuke. They're also demon slayers with very interesting personalities and characteristics.
Zenitsu is a coward, but when he passes out, he becomes someone of great ability. It's like a dissociative disorder. lol Inosuke, on the other hand was raised by wild pigs. Well, there's a very interesting story behind that in the manga, but you'll get to know it once you read or perhaps if the anime version will continue showing the rest of the chapters.
The Hashira or the Pillars. These people are the strongest Demon Slayers. They will play a vital role in the life of Tanjiro and Nezuko. Each of them are packed with really heavy and deep backgrounds which made their characters even more interesting.
I must say, Giyuu Tomioka is my favorite. Despite his stoic personality, he has a very huge heart. His back story was also very emotional and somehow it explains why he is the way he is.
The source of all evil. NO, he's not the anime version of Michael Jackson. He is Muzan Kibutsuji and the demon who started it all. His blood is so strong that he can turn anyone into demons. Under him, some strong demons called the Twelve Demon Moons. This group are made up of demons who Muzan shared his blood with.
The lower the number, the stronger the demon is. There are also a lot of interesting characters among the twelve moons. Some of them even have some kind of connection to the "Hashira". You'll get to know more once you read the manga.
I personally consider "Kimetsu no Yaiba" as one of the best anime this season. Imagine, I only watched a couple episodes, and I immediately went and read the manga version. That's how curious I was.
Now that the first season ended, people who haven't read the manga might be very curious as to what's about to happen. However, despite the end of the first season... they announced the upcoming movie next month. :)
It's the DEMON TRAIN ARC!
I don't want to spoil anyone, but this arc is full packed with action and emotion! You will wish that everything was just a dream.
It reminded me of my feelings when I watched One Piece's Marinefold Arc. So, if you've seen it... you would know what to expect.
Anyway, I'd still watch the movie even though I know it would kill my heart a second time. It's because... I just love it. I like this show so much it hurts.
The manga is at its climax... but we'll see what'll happen next.
I'll end this post until here. Thanks for reading. :) Let's talk about this anime, so feel free to comment down below. (^_^)/
