I think Option 1. Look at the shape and length of his snout compared to hers, then compared to other pictures of feral hogs. Its longer and more narrow with a larger end of the snout, similar to a feral hogs. Then look at his ears, furry also similar to feral hogs. Another appearance difference is he looks taller in the front at the shoulders. Unlike PBP (potbelly-pepper?) she is relatively flat from front to back. Googling arkansas feral pig I found this...

That first picture looks similar to your male "potbelly" the big difference I see is that the picture there appears to have a thicker hair.

So yea I still think option 1, maybe this is why they were free! Time will also tell because if he is feral theres a good chance he'll get bigger. Is he aggressive to you or any of the other peppers?
