After several days watching him from afar, I was finally able to take pictures of "Firulai" (yes, this parrot has a dog’s name, it’s hilarious); his owner opens his cage sometimes and allows him to get out and walk freely for a while.
I haven’t taken pictures of him until now cause I was a little shy of appearing out of nowhere and say "NEIGHBOR, WOULD YOU LET ME TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR PARROT?" 😅 💦

🍂 🐦 2 beautiful exemplars of "Yellow-Crown Amazon Parrot " or "Amazona Ochrocephala" 🐦 🍂
Vets usually have the opinion that this species of parrots are good pets due their intrepid, sociable and tame attitude, attributes that added to their outstanding ability to speak makes them perfect for large families or with young children.
Something funny is that this species of parrot has a tendency to get fat, so their diet should be less fatty and more fibrous, they need to consume varied fruits / vegetables, and boiled egg (because their feathers are made of protein). Also, their food cannot be spiced, and for example, tomato, avocado, and chocolate are totally prohibited.
If you have doubts, "Firulai" and his girlfriend are parrots bred in captivity, they weren’t taken from their natural habitat, which is why they’re docile and like company very much. The cage you see in the photos is not meant to keep them locked, It’s only to protect them from cats (there are many hunting cats in our area, and they eat pigeons about the size of these parrots).
Both are very loved by their human family, who take good of care of them and stay attentive of all their needs; you can see by their feathers and their good humor how well taken care of and nourished they are ("Firulai’s" girlfriend is a little fatty, that’s why she looks bigger than him).
Thank you so much for Reading!
