My Local Zoo Fire!? 27/12/2017
Hello Steemian so not long ago I received the odd and slightly scary news that my nearest Zoo had caught fire this was of course shocking as it was only a month ago that I visited the location.
There was also a 2 hour window cap from the time the fire started and the time when I was there a month ago.

So on the day I was there I left the Zoo at 4.20 and Fire Brigade tackling the fire were called at the scene at 6.08
They tackled the fire at the Adventure cafe and shop near the Meerkat enclosure.
And would you believe there was a total of ten fire engines! with around 70 firefighters and officers at the scene tackling the fire!!
The photograph which was posted on Twitter by the Fire Brigade shows smoke billowing from the building as firefighters work on calming down the fire at the scene.
A spokeswoman from the Fire Brigade revealed approximately half of the adventure cafe and shop which also contains an animal petting area was alight in flames.
Obviously my first thought was are any of the animals hurt by the fire!?

But the spokeswoman from the Fire Brigade also revealed its not believed any animals are hurt at this stage.
She lastly added like everybody else as said that the cause of the fire is not currently known.
I hope they discover what caused the fire in the first place and my best wishes go out to those animals, staff, police and fire fighters.

I heard about this on the news I think they said it was the Meerkat enclosure but I not 100% sure on that
Ah yes I didn't realise it made the main news, oh maybe your right I know it hit the store and cafe place the Meerkat enclosure is right near it if I remember correctly, I am in hope nobody or any animals got hurt @hotmagoes.

Hey @hotmangoes there was some more developments on the story if you get time check out my other post on this, unfortunately there was some hit by the fire.
My first thought was the animals too and I was happy to hear that no animals or people were hurt. What we would do without our fire fighters? Every time I hear sirens I pray for those who need the first responders and then I say a prayer for the first responders.
Indeed while people often complain about the police they also done a great job at the scene along with the fire fighters, I am still waiting on possible more news thanks @whatisnew
