TWO CROWS KISSING!!!
This is the first photo in the world of a Siamese crow and I had the privilege of taking the photo. It was a dark afternoon and I was not expecting to see such a phenomenon, I quickly reached for the camera and took a photo, I could not beleive what I was seeing.
And then I thought to myself which way will it fly? And who makes the decision? How do they share food?
As these questions went through my brain suddenly there was movement and it was just two crows kissing. Ha ha ha, Im probably the only one laughing at my own humour.
Crows are fascinating birds and are often confused with ravens, there are telling signs if you look closely you can tell the difference. Usually the ravens will be a bigger bird, but not all ravens are large. So if you look at the tail the raven will have a fork and the crow a V tail. The raven also has a larger head with more frill under the neck.
They also have slightly different calls, this takes some listening to pick, but after a while it's obvious.
Black crows are found all around the world, and are thought to originate from Asia, They have a reputation of death because if there's a sick bird in their group they gang up and kill it.
They also have a name for destroying crops and farmers call them notorious pests, predominantly they are raging carnivores with an appetite for flesh and are commonly found on roads eating road kill.
You will probably notice that you rarely see a crow dead by the road, Why?
Because out of all the bird life crows are the smartest, they have the biggest brain to body size ratio.
It was hard enough taking this picture without them flying away, it reminded me about 3 months ago i could hear these crows making all this fuss and I thought that maybe they might have been chasing a snake.
When I got there they where shooing off a large goanna lizard over one meter long, they weren't afraid to swoop it as it was climbing the tree either.
Can you see the goanna in the tree? Their was Four of them swooping, and it finally turned and ran off into the bush.
One of the crows squawking while the others where flying and swooping the goanna.
Keep in mind how sharp and large the claws are on the goanna and if it got hold of one of them lunch would be on the menu. They were to smart and cunning knowing exactly when to swoop and hit its back without getting caught.
I find them fascinating because of their eerie call and the fact they don't let you get close to them, they fly away.
And you can't forget their colour that deep vivid black, in many lands this colour has led many to believe in all types of superstitions.

very smart birds ;)
Thank you
You know what's odd. Earlier this week while I was driving, I saw a crow chasing a gala in the sky. Approximately 15 minutes later as I arrived home, I saw a gala chasing a crow in the sky. Obviously they are not the same two I saw earlier in a different area. But it was strange.
Thats really funny and if you were superstitious that would have a meaning. The crow is you, i'm the gala, chasing signifies your loyalty in following me and upvoting.
LOL
Those are some brave crows because I don't even want to get close to that lizard. lol
yes I know
