OH NO! A JUMPING SPIDER IN THE HOUSE!!!
Wait! He's on our side!
Amazingly, when we recently found an impressive Jumping Spider in the house, the Little-Peppers convinced Mama-Pepper to just let it be and hang out for a while, to see what it'd do. As they suspected, before too long, it had paid off.
Yup, that little bugger grabbed a housefly and began to eat it. Now that's the type of spider I don't mind passing through our area. What do you think? Would you let a spider just hang out in your house to see what it's do?
ABSOLUTLEY! I love spiders too. We had those big hairy jumpers at our place too. They sure do love eating the bugs. Sometimes I would let the spiders rent out a corner anywhere in the house that they wanted. Make extra money that way charging them rent HA HA.
Growing up in Florida we had those big tarantula sized wolf spiders we would see every now and then run up the wall and disappear behind a curtain or entertainment center. Growing up they used to scare the Hell out of me. Now I don't care about spiders much. As long as it isn't a Brown Recluse or Black Widow spiders are cool in my book.
My husband keeps the huntsman spiders, I didn't used to mind, but I'm not so keen with kids. They don't kill but they do hurt if they bite, and they are big! The daddy long legs and tiny little ... I don't know what they are actually, they like the bathroom ... , those I have no problem with. We had a pair of jumping spiders a few months ago. Actually our problem is not the kids so much as our Labrador, she was trying to catch the spiders.
Our jumping spiders look different, just as big and scary.
Our dog eats everything, animal, vegetable or mineral, lounge chair, walls, socks, rocks, bees... she had an obstruction a few months back, pooped out sticks, bolts, wire ties and plastic. No joke, she is a menace, one vet said she had an eating disorder and recommended antidepressants! We bought a special spray that is supposed to taste worse than anything, and be a deterrent, she licked it off the furniture the ate the wood.
My son alerted me to this white tail in the bath.
I was getting him ready to get in the tub at the time.
He is a bit like the boy who cried spider, every insect was a spider to him when we moved. I was shocked by this one hiding under his toy. I washed it down the drain.
Hello my friend! :D
We have many spiders in our house, much to our daughters displeasure when she comes home for a visit. :D She hates spiders, screams her head off if she sees even a tiny one, but I don't mind them as long as they don't climb on my face. :D
I've never heard of a jumping spider before, how far do they jump? :D Its very cool that your kids already know which spiders, snakes, etc... are the good ones to keep around and which aren't. :D You're a great teacher to them. :D
God bless you and your wonderful family. :D Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D
Spiders dont bother me, I'm sure there are lots of them in the house. The only downside are the webs they leave behind, but other than that I dont mind them. We dont have any really dangerous spiders here, so its no problem.
Yeah... live and let live!
