I too lost my dog of 16 years this past May. I buried her near my garden and I often feel her spirit. I think of her often and all the good times that we shared tog. Some people tell me that they never want to own another dog, simply because of the pain of losing a pet. But I don't have that attitude. I am thankful for the time we spent together and now I want to have another pet in my life someday. I keep pictures of my dog sitting around, just so I can look at her lovely face and remember​ her faithfulness towards me. Thanks for sharing your post.
