I just spotted and photographed this stunning bird for the first time this morning. Having looked it up in my bird book I see that is has a very long pretty tail that I did not manage to capture so I shall be doubly on the lookout now to try and capture his tail on camera and do this beauty full justice.
It had nesting material in its mouth and seemed to be on a direct course for my balcony when it spotted me and doubled back to a tree, at which moment I got these few wonderful photos. I am sure it is planning to build a nest under the eaves of the house so I shall stay out the way as much as possible in the hope that the nest is built right by my bedroom door. I can’t think of anything more magical than baby motmots ☺️
