Hoppity Sparrow - Out of Winter and Into Spring
My Mums handreared Sparrow has made it through winter & will be happy for the extra warmth no doubt.
Hoppity was found last Summer rejected from the nest we think due a defect in both legs. =(
24/7 care means they have a very strong bond 🐦

CUTE. I'm so glad you guys rescued it... the last time I saw a baby bird out of the nest I was convinced to walk away and let nature take its' course. I think about it a lot and wish I had taken the little fellow in, if only to make him more comfortable! Thank you for taking care of this little sparrow!

Yeah a lot of time! She hand feeds every day.
Mum took her to the vet to see what was wrong with her and comparing to our legs her thighs are twice as along as they should be and her knees therefore can't support her.
She hops but doesnt fly. So the vet offered to put Hoppity to Sleep. Mum said no and here we are 8 months or so later =D
