Did you know that the peacock is native to India and is the national bird of that country? According to the history it was Alexander the Great who took them to the West.
I have always loved this animal for its beauty and colors. It is associated with the concept of vanity, but in many cultures it is considered a solar symbol related to immortality and wisdom.
