Common Raven
Desert Dweller
Joshua Tree National Park's otherworldly looking trees make it almost a surprise to see a very earthly Raven land among their branches, but in the end it fits together in an out of the ordinary scene.
Among the most intelligent of birds, ravens can be identified by their beard-like scruff and pronounced beak feathers.
This raven previously had a small twig in its beak, by choice or otherwise, and was flitting among trees scraping it against the branches.
