THE ART OF WAR - A Unique Analysis Of Specific Quotes In A Macrocosmic Context - Part 1

in #anarchy6 years ago (edited)

This series will extract useful resources that can be used to help end slavery.

The Art Of War is one of the oldest, most famous, and influential writings on military strategy ever.  My purpose here is not to examine aspects of it in the context of mass murders called wars.  The aim here is to gain useful information that can help humanity end its current condition of slavery.

The translated version we'll use is from:

The first quote we'll examine is from:

Chapter 4 – Page 42 - Section 18

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

The current condition for most humans is, unfortunately, not knowing the enemy or the higher Self.  This is why humanity is experiencing slavery (succumbing in every battle).

Most humans don’t even know there is a battle.

What is a battle?

A battle is on many levels.  On a higher level, it’s a spiritual one. It’s also a battle of the mind.

It’s between good and evil, morality and immorality, right and wrong, growth and decay, liberty and slavery, empathy and apathy,  truth and lies, knowledge and ignorance.  It’s a struggle to evolve and progress to higher levels of consciousness.

Each individual battle, here on the physical plane, is a choice.  There are literally billions of choices (battles) that occur every day.

What does winning a battle mean?

Winning a battle means choosing right, moral action.  It means spiritual growth.

Each individual battle that is won brings the individual, and humanity overall, closer to a higher level of consciousness.

How can each battle be won?

Winning a battle is often not easy.  The first step is to know what right, moral action is.  This is done by knowing Natural Law.  The second step is to take right, moral action, based in the knowledge of Natural Law, which is sometimes not easy.  It’s not easy sometimes because of fear.  Fear must be  overcome by using courage, Care, and Will.

A battle is won every time an individual chooses to speak truth when confronted with lies.  For example, when confronted by the rights-violators called “The TSA” at airports, speak truth to them.  Tell them what they’re doing is wrong, and why it’s wrong.

Another example of winning a battle is finding ways to avoid “taxation”.  It could be something as simple as buying something tax-free from a local farmer’s market, or something that requires more courage, like refusing to pay “income tax”.  A battle is won when self-directed education is chosen, rather than schooling.

When humanity starts winning the majority of these moral battles, in the aggregate of society, then liberty will be experienced.

This will lead to vastly superior modes of living that are difficult to fathom, and will lead to a higher degree of consciousness.

Part 2 will focus on “knowing the enemy” in this same context.
Part 3 will focus on “knowing the Self”.

Thanks for your time and attention!

Just say "NO" to slavery!

Sun Tzu is so overrated... "Attack when your enemy is weak and you are strong" for fucks sakes. If you put "duh" or "no shit" in front of each of his "wisdom statements" you will see just how much of a captain obvious he was

Interesting series of posts you have planned here. I agree with just about everything you said here. I look forward to your thoughts. Great idea!

Thank you! I was thinking about doing a book review, just in general (not necessarily "The Art Of War"), but didn't want it to be a typical, straightforward analysis and commentary like many reviews are.

Then it dawned on me that it might be a good idea to look at a book through the lens of "the big picture", so to speak.

Brilliant and you're doing a good job with it. I think this is more thought provoking for everyone than just reading a review anyway. Relevant to the time as well. Brilliant!

Friend it is a great pleasure to visit your publications just for the way you write encouragement, I must look for the way to win more battles.

Thanks Jose. That means a lot to me. We need inspiration and encouragement to make progress, right?
