Does Government Even Exist?!
Most people speak about government in their daily lives as though it’s simply just a thing that exists in reality, but have you ever stopped and questioned this whole concept and said to yourself ‘wait, what exactly is government, and does it even exist to begin with?’
As strange as the title of this article sounds, have you ever actually stopped and asked your selves:
What is government?
What does it actually look like?
Can it be described visually?
And why do people continue to do what “IT” apparently says?
If someone asked you right now to draw government, what would you draw?
Parliament?
Congress?
Politicians?
Books of “law” or constitutions?
In fact, type ‘government’ into google images RIGHT NOW and see what comes up (I’ll wait…) Done? Ok,
what most likely became the bulk of your google image search consisted of:
Buildings
Pieces of paper
And human beings in suits
That’s it. In fact, when most people think of government visually, what comes into their mind is a combination of all three of these, Human beings residing inside some buildings writing down on pieces of paper.

But if that’s all what government is, what makes a building, paper and people like you and me 'government'?
If we look at the word Govern we see that it means: to ‘rule, preside over, reign over, control, be in charge of, command,, dominate.
When people talk about government its usually something that is supposed to have the RIGHT to rule over human beings. So in the minds of many its not simply just people in suits writing down on things inside buildings, it’s an apparent RIGHT to rule over other human beings.
This apparent right includes:
-Telling people what they may and may not do – and they are called laws
-Telling people how much of their labour they may keep and how much will be taken from them by force if necessary – and they call these taxes
-Punishing people who disobey government – and this is called law enforcement
In fact, people actually talk about ‘government’ like its some sort of actual entity, you’ll hear people say things like:
"the government says we can do this"
“the government says we cant do that”
“IT doesn’t allow us to (fill in the blank)"
"we have to do what the government says"
"don’t disobey the government or you’ll be in trouble" –
all of this as though it’s actually some kind entity.
Where did such a right come from to rule over other human beings? Buildings don’t possess any special power or right to rule over you, they are just chunks of bricks stacked together, they have no ability to do anything at all let alone anything to you, likewise pieces of paper are just that, paper. And no amount of ink being splodged (words and signatures) onto said paper is going to change that.

And as far as people in suits go, that’s all they are, just human beings like you and me.
I have no right to rule over another human being, demand money from them or hurt them if they disobey me and neither do you have that right to do it either, in fact NO ONE has the right to do this to another human being, the very act of doing this to another person is theft of another person’s labour and freedom and thus immoral and wearing special clothes, writing on some paper and residing in some stacked pile of rocks isn’t going to suddenly give any human being the RIGHT to rule over another or do anything additional for that matter.
So if its neither the building, the paper or the men in suites, what is this entity that people believe they must obey? It appears as though it is some kind of entity that people IMAGINE to have the moral right to boss people around, take their money and hurt them if they disobey.
Are WE the government?
Some people believe that it’s us. You’ll hear people say things like “we are the government”, but government is to rule, control and dominate others and punish disobedience, but then as mentioned earlier no human being has the RIGHT to do any of this to another person, no one has the right to coerce, intimidate and threaten another person to make them do as they say.
And yet this is what the people who work for the men in suits whom reside in flashy buildings do to everyone else on a daily basis: police, military, tax collectors etc. And yet no such right came from us since we don’t even have the right to do that ourselves.
Is it just an idea?
You’ll also hear people say that government is an ‘idea’. So, it’s the idea that some people have the RIGHT to control, dominate and rule over other people? From where did they get the RIGHT to do this?
I would say it’s more of a BELIEF that some people have the moral RIGHT to rule over other human beings. But if as mentioned earlier no one has the right to do this to anyone, then the very idea or belief in government has its entire foundation based upon a RIGHT that doesn’t even exist. And if no such right exist in any human being, how then can such an “idea” even be legitimate”?
It seems pretty clear that government by its very definition, ‘the right to rule’ cant exist since no human being on the planet has such a right, it simply doesn’t exist. Buildings exist, human beings exist, pieces of paper with ink on them exist, but a supposed RIGHT to rule over another person does not.
Yet people till this day continue to BELIEVE and speak about government as though it is some entity that DOES have these rights that normal human beings don’t even have.
So ultimately this “idea” is based entirely on a BELIEF that something exists that gets to do things that human beings don’t have the right to do and that all must be obedient to it unquestionably.
And what do we call it when people on mass believe in some entity that can do things that normal human beings can’t do themselves and that they must obey everything “IT” apparently says? Well, that’s for another article. ;-)
In the meantime, Home work:
If you’re ever in a conversation with people about politics and government, ask your friends:
- Can you visually describe what “government” looks like?
- If you were to draw government, what would you draw?
Also get them to google image it and see what they find. It should be an interesting discussion.

Government is a middlemen between us and corporations.
The mean function of government is to get taxes.
Government (we the people) are the creators of corporations. Try starting an LLC or C-corp, you will see that you have to ASK your State government to legitimize it into being, to ALLOW you to do commerce LEGALLY, otherwise it's deemed "illegal" and is not backed by the "full faith and credit" of the people comprising government (ourselves). Yes, you can start a corporation or organization on your own, but unless it is organized UNDER the state, you will not be able to open a bank account. Because to open a bank account and receive business credit (in your companies name), you have to have an EIN number from guess who? The IRS.
Hate to break it to everyone. But government does exist. It's called Parents instituting controls over their children. Parents live in fear that their children need protection to survive, so they agree to make contracts between other parents. Government is a contract, yes a piece of paper on the one hand, but also a promise to perform on the other (for the security of their posterity). Just because the paper has words on it does not mean it's worthless or doesn't exist in reality. Your reputation as a being (in reality) rests in your ability to do what you agreed to do ON THAT PIECE OF PAPER. Whether you keep your promise will be reflective of how others view you, in reality, whether that be someone with integrity or someone who does not pay their debts, which they signed contracts promising to pay. Well, that's what government is - born out of fear. The more education about natural law we receive, the more we understand Nature's course in all things and realize our perceptions are skewed about what real protection is (because government is definitely not manifesting the results it promises to effect in the world).
The pieces of paper are just receipts. Written acknowledgements of a thing of value received -or- a mere admission of a fact, in writing which can be used to PUBLICLY PROVE that fact.
