Abolitionist Abstractions Vlog 9: Being homeless never felt so good!
Here is the next installment of my vlog series on my attempts at quasi van nomadism. The sale of my house was finally completed (Yay!) and Murder Dog and I have hit the road! Well, sort of. This recording actually took place in the driveway of what was my house. I had left a few things behind in the garage and was granted an extra 24 hours to remove them from the property, so I took advantage of the now vacant property while i had the chance.
As I had mentioned in previous vlogs, I expected this experience to be a bit of a comedy of errors. Sure enough, I've already run into a few issues. It rained most of the day and night (because, why not!) and I discovered some leaks coming from the tie downs of the car carrier. We're also even tighter on space than originally anticipated, because there's some extra equipment in the vehicle that will hopefully be stored with a friend before the end of the day. Add that to the rush job I had to put on loading up the vehicle, and we had a bit of a mess on our hands (and paws).
Despite the clutter and confusion, we're both in good spirits. Sleep may be an issue tonight due to the lack of space, but it still feels good just to be getting this underway. I'll probably record another video in the morning to discuss how the night went. Stayed tuned!

Loneliness is usually not a problem for me being an introvert. If I need some conversation I'll call my siblings or a friend on the phone. Part of the fun of nomading is the unexpected. I find having a positive attitude puts me in a groove and more positive outcomes will happen as a result. Can't explain why with logic and not a mystic, but it seems to work for me.

I find having a positive attitude usually helps make positive outcomes happen. I'm not a mystic and it can't be explained with logic, but I find it works for me. I have a lot of synchronicity and serendipity happen when my mind is uncluttered and unstressed. Glad to see you are finally getting a taste of the nomad lifestyle. Enjoy!!
Thanks, man! Yeah, I don't expect the loneliness factor to hit me as hard as it may some others. I have a lifelong habit of drifting into what i call my hermit mode on a fairly regular basis. As long as I have some contact now and then, even in the digital form, I can usually maintain for a good amount of time.
