There's a Better Way

I wholeheartedly believe that there's a way to provide for the needs of increasingly higher quantities of people in increasingly more peaceful ways while making plunder more burdensome than consensual exchange, thereby making "government" both unnecessary and impossible.

It involves not surrendering accumulated capital to the men and women calling themselves government.

It involves not selling the unborn into debt slavery to bribe voters with stolen resources.

It involves not accepting counterfeited, fiat currency at face value.

It involves adopting the use of cryptocurrencies like Steem and Bitcoin.

It involves not throwing people in cages for resisting theft or for possessing certain types of flowers.

It involves challenging the applicability of the so-called "laws" when accused of violating a so-called "victimless crime".

It involves individuals on juries refusing to convict anyone of anything absent evidence of bodily or property damage if conscripted for jury duty.

It involves defending people who are attacked under the false auspices of a so-called "victimless crime".

It involves not letting the men and women calling themselves government interfere with or regulate consensual exchange.

It involves letting resources accumulate to intelligent people who will make the most efficient use of them.

It involves not demanding that peaceful, productive people be compelled to fund stupid, asinine pathological altruism and genocidal wars.

It involves not blindly following orders to do immoral things just because someone who controls your paycheck told you to.

It involves doing what is moral regardless of whether or not it's legal.

It involves becoming a Voluntaryist.

You've got the "what" by the horns. The "how" is the problem, though. Education seems to be the only possibility. And Sam Adams's tireless minority. Have you read Eric Frank Russel's And Then There Were None?

I'm also not convinced of the long-term viability of block-chain-based fiat currencies. As a practical matter, the technology needs a way to keep the chain from growing without bounds. But more importantly, I still have a hard time putting my faith in currency based on nothing but faith. I have a lot easier time with gold and silver backing for blockchain-based trading tokens.

I agree with your sentiment. Ultimately, a free market in money would give rise to multiple different types of money and currency, none of which would be fractional reserve, fiat currency.

As for the "how", as indicated by the success stories linked above, I believe the Marc Stevens method for challenging jurisdiction is a great, effective method for damage control in situations where some bureaucrat is attempting to force you to pay them. The individuals in the No State Project have been very effective in using the Socratic method to get dismissals for people being attacked. Wider scale adoption of the Socratic method to challenge bureaucratic attacks would make plunder a whole hell of a lot more burdensome. It also has the added benefit of further exposing the courts as the shams they are.

it involves courage and freedom of thought! :)
great post!

Have you considered any of these:
Ubuntu Contributionism
New Earth Nation
New World Agreement
Free World Charter
The Venus Project
The Zeitgeist Movement

I agree wholeheartedly. I am a sentient, sovereign being on this Earth. I am not subject to, nor lord over anyone.

Powerful words my friend!
Namasté!

Thanks for the warm feedback. I don't know about the first four things you listed but The Venus Project and Zeigeist Movements have the same problem as fractional reserve central banking: the socialist problem of calculation. To abolish money would require totalitarianism. To abolish money would also be to condemn most of the world to death. Without naturally arising market prices, there's no way to express consumer demand in terms of finite supply. Without a way to express demand in terms of supply, resources get wasted, then people starve.

There's no such thing as abundance and there never will be.

However, scarcity can be mitigated and needs can be met simply by getting people who would intervene and interfere with market exchange by force out of the way.

These projects are perhaps well intentioned but have no way of overcoming the socialist problem of economic calculation.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Great post Jared! I love it! Keep up the awesome work! Cheers! :-)
