RE: There's a Better Way

You've got the "what" by the horns. The "how" is the problem, though. Education seems to be the only possibility. And Sam Adams's tireless minority. Have you read Eric Frank Russel's And Then There Were None?

I'm also not convinced of the long-term viability of block-chain-based fiat currencies. As a practical matter, the technology needs a way to keep the chain from growing without bounds. But more importantly, I still have a hard time putting my faith in currency based on nothing but faith. I have a lot easier time with gold and silver backing for blockchain-based trading tokens.

I agree with your sentiment. Ultimately, a free market in money would give rise to multiple different types of money and currency, none of which would be fractional reserve, fiat currency.

As for the "how", as indicated by the success stories linked above, I believe the Marc Stevens method for challenging jurisdiction is a great, effective method for damage control in situations where some bureaucrat is attempting to force you to pay them. The individuals in the No State Project have been very effective in using the Socratic method to get dismissals for people being attacked. Wider scale adoption of the Socratic method to challenge bureaucratic attacks would make plunder a whole hell of a lot more burdensome. It also has the added benefit of further exposing the courts as the shams they are.
