Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova – Visit the Fancy Football Stadium of FIFA 2013 and 2014 Fame

Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova is a football stadium located in the city of Salvador in Brazil and is also known as Complexo Esportivo Cultural Professor Octavio Mangabeira. The stadium was opened on 7th April of 2013 and has a capacity of 48,000 people. The first major football game that started in the stadium is the FIFA Confederations Cup in the year 2013 which was also followed by the FIFA of 2014. With the venue for FIFA consecutively for two years, the stadium has become quite popular and now is one of the most sought after sight for a number of football events and tournaments. The stadium was also the venue for the football competition during the summer Olympics of 2016.

The stadium was replaced by the earlier old Estadio Fonte Nova as the old stadium was reassembled, redesigned and architected to build the larger stadium. The construction of the current stadium started in 2010 after the previous stadium was demolished in the year 2010. The stadium was inaugurated with a friendly match between Bahia and Vitoria team. The stadium was named Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova under the sponsorship agreement with the brewery group Itaipava from Grupo Petropolis who sponsored the construction of the same.

The stadium is designed with the use of a lot of innovative concept in a sustainable manner. The football ground has been used for several other events apart from football tournaments like graduation parties and events, mega fashion shows, business gatherings, music concerts, etc. The arena has the perfect lighting set up which supports many events and concerts along with football and other game tournaments even at night. The stadium has nearly 48,000 covered seats along with 70 premium cabins. There is a parking space for approximately 2000 cars.

There are a number of amenities within the stadium which includes 39 food kiosks, 12 numbers of elevators and also a special arrangement for disabled people. The stadium is well managed and taken care of. There is 2 number of high-resolution screens integrated with SMD technology and 10 lifts for the convenience of the people. There are around 94 toilets with 23 toilets having provision for handicapped people. The structure and architecture of the stadium have been rewarded with many certificates for its quality construction and for its construction supporting energy conservation and sustainability.
