A vibrant place to be in Peru; Plaza de Armas

Plaza de Armas is known as the main square of Cusco, Peru. It is a space filled with people all the time. The busy center is popular from the colonial times within the city. It has stone pathways which are wide and has the garden around it, which is colorful and vibrant. There are two main buildings in this area, such as Church La Compania and the Cusco Cathedral. These two buildings are famous for its historical moments and cover the area from the Haukaypata, which means Great Inca Square today. The arcade of stone buildings is the central architecture of this main square which people visit to see from all over the world.
Most of the events, gathering, and festivals are held here in the Plaza de Armas to depict and display the culture of Peru. There are always various activities, and the area stays bustling most of the times, whether it is day or night. It is a great place to meet someone and to have fun if you are in Cusco, Peru. The atmosphere is friendly, and you will always feel peaceful when you go and sit there. You can also find various eateries and restaurants in this place. It has all the Peruvian foods such as lomo saltado, cuy, and much more.
Along with that, pizza, pasta, and steak are also offered widely to the people. There are some of the best restaurants in the city which you can try to have a great experience with Peruvian food. The nightlife at this plaza is buzzing every day which you can enjoy. You can visit the Norton rat’s pub to enjoy the nightlife with experience pool and playing darts at this place. Another place is Paddy’s Irish pub which offers you local beers and other food items to enjoy. If you want to enjoy dancing, then there are many other lounge bars and clubs you can visit.
Moreover, the surrounding of this plaza is beautiful with the ruins of Incans and Pre-Incans. There are mountains around where you can go on trekking and hiking also during the day time. You can also buy the paintings of Machu Picchu from the vendors there and always make sure to say “gracias” which means thank you when you are purchasing something. You have to know some of the common words so that you can interact with the Spanish people there and adjust well for some time.
