Save 15% Or More Using Bitcoin Through Purse.io on Your Amazon Purchases

Even People That Hate Bitcoin Should Be Interested In This!

After a recent discussion with Trace Mayer ( @tracemayer ) he left me a link to a youtube video that I wish I knew about before my recent Amazon.com purchase.

The whole video is fascinating, but skip to the 4:30 mark for what I am discussing here

By joining a site called Purse.io you can make an Amazon wishlist and upload it to this website with a selected discount and people who have amazon gift cards that are valueless to them will buy the items on your wishlist with your selected discount for bitcoin.

Mostly those that buy the goods you wish to have on amazon with their gift cards are affiliate marketers in Africa and other places that Amazon pays in gift cards and they are unable to use them because Amazon doesn't ship there so they are worthless as gift cards to them. (Over 15 billion dollars are currently in Amazon gift cards).

Here are the steps to get your discount - Copied directly from the purse.io website for those who wish to see all steps in this post.>

You will have to make a purse.io account and deposit some bitcoin (can be $20 to$1,000's of dollars) to get started but that is simple and true of any new site so I won't cover that.

Step 1. Add Products to Wishlist on Amazon Click “Add to List” If you’re new to wish lists, select “Create Wish List” (make sure the list is public)

Step 2. Configure Wish List Click “List Settings”

Click “View Details”

Step 3. Add Address to Wish List Fill out ‘ship to’ section with your address Make sure that “Third party shipping” is checked Make sure that “Don’t spoil my surprises” is unchecked

Step 4. Copy List URL

Copy the share link.

Step 5. Paste Wish List URL Paste the URL into the search bar on Purse.

Step 6. Name Your Discount Select a discount by sliding the bar. For fast shipping, we recommend selecting a 15% discount. Bigger discounts result in longer fulfillment and ship times.

Pro Tips

Set a discount below 10% for items you need urgently.

Set a higher discount for items you don’t need right away.

Add items to your wish list from Amazon’s mobile app.

Here's a user review about the whole process of purse.io

There are a few restrictions on items that can be purchased, but there is an FAQ sextion here in the top right corner

Would you rather buy your Amazon products with your 2% bonus cash credit card or a 15% plus discount in bitcoin?

I know my decision, but what is yours? I believe this makes a strong argument to overcome negative connotations with bitcoin and discounts are something everyone is interested in. I would pay in monopoly money if it gave me 15% or more discount, but there are those stubborn few that will continue in their set ways and not try something new. Try it with $50 on your next purchase and see for yourself

This is seriously going to change my life! Thank you for writing this!!

Happy to help! I was going to message you directly but ran out of time this morning and figured you'd see it. Because I know you purchase a lot on Amazon. I haven't personally used it yet (I'm 100% sure it works) but I thought I should share, because there are many that do not know. You can set a higher discount for things you don't need immediately which seems brilliant. Bitcoin is just one part of blockchain technology and not even the most advanced. When the internet of things gets adopted mainstream, the world as we know it will change.

At least that is what I believe and for a while people thought the internet was a fad. Now can you imagine not having Google? It's crazy how dependent we are on the internet daily.

Feel free to spread the word @kaylinart. Whether or not people upvote this doesn't matter. Having more people using Bitcoin that normally wouldn't makes cryptocurrency far more lucrative and valuable

I have make a post for alternate sites that works for amazon.de and paypal!

Thanks for sharing with the non USA crowd! 15-30% off the price is sometimes the difference between being able to get something you really could use and having to wait longer to get it. Not only that, but you are helping out some people who have essentially worthless Amazon cards. Whether or not this is a sneaky way for Amazon to "pay" people without really affecting their bottom line I can't say, but even getting 80% of the gift card in Bitcoin is better than the monopoly money it's with for them now.

Even if you didn't take a discount, you would still be paying the same price (plus a couple pennies or transaction fees) and helping someone out that could really use the money. What could be better than that?

purse dont work at amazon.de!
if you have a way to give german members 15-30% of the price on amazon.de tell me and all other germans! you are welcome tell your offer #deutsch

Trying to alert the purse.io creator now and get back to you if I here from him.

Very interesting. So, essentially it's like trading Bitcoin with a slightly better exchange rate, from what I'm understanding. Fascinating.

Exactly. Essentially people are selling gift cards at a discount for Bitcoin through this exchange. If you're in Africa and Amazon won't ship to you, what are you going to do with a bunch of gift cards? You could sell them on eBay or find a wish list on Amazon you can buy with your gift cards in exchange for Bitcoin. This could also be used by speculators who want to get Bitcoin for their gift cards. And the transactions make sure there is no scamming. So you can get your items at a discount by using Bitcoin.

That could draw people to steemit because you could write a 100 dollar article get 50 steem dollars, turn that into Bitcoin send that to purse.io and get 60 dollars worth of product for your 50 dollars of Bitcoin (if you set the discount to 20%) and depending on how fast these orders are filled, it hedges against Bitcoin volatility.

$10 may not seem like a lot on top of $50, but how does an extra $2,000 worth of product on $10,000 worth of Bitcoin sound. Could be the difference in being able to buy a premium computer or TV or anything else.

People that are afraid of Bitcoin are the only ones really missing out.

People may even want to join steemit or start using Bitcoin just to get 10-30% discount?

Why the heck would you not want that type of discount?

I'll surely take that. We are talking $1,000's of dollars I could have saved or used to buy more. Idk about you but I'm all for that.

You could even do the transaction for skeptical people yourself. They give you $1000 for $1,200 dollar item at a 20% discount so they get 100 dollars of and you pocket $100 for a few extra clicks and they don't need to deal with the "dreaded" Bitcoin. Bump up the percentage off even higher and you could pocket $200 or more dollars. (Minus small fees I'm sure)

Wow! Good to know.

Thank you! Hopefully it helps a lot of people out
