My 1st entry for Amazing Nature Contest by @adalger
Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!
As you have probably noticed by now, I love photo contests here on Steem (both participating in them and hosting them too) so when I found out about the Amazing Nature Contest hosted by @adalger, I was excited to join in. As the title of the contest suggests, these contests are about nature/wildlife photography, which is my favorite photography category so I am very happy to submit my first entry today.
As a dedicated nature lover, I always prefer natural places to urban sites when traveling and exploring foreign countries but there is one particular country that will always have a special place in my heart and this country is Costa Rica.
With more than 1/4 of the country´s land area consisting of national parks and protected areas, Costa Rica is a true heaven for every nature lover. As incredible as it sounds, this little Central American country contains as much as 5% of the entire world´s biodiversity, which is a stunning number.
That being said, it comes as no surprise that it was in this amazing country where I took some of my best wildlife photos. Here is a few of them.

Keel Billed Toucan
Hermit Crab
Brown Throated Sloth
Saturnid Moth Caterpillar
Sand Dollar
Banana Spider
All of those shots were take by me on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica and its surroundings, mostly in the Cahuita National Park and the Gandoca Manzanillo National Park.
Feel free to pick any of the photos as the main entry for this round of your contest, @adalger. I have already used these wildlife shots in some of my previous posts and some other photo contests here on Steem but hopefully, it´s not a problem for you. Posts on insects and wildlife are not very common and difficult to find. We liked the way you illustrated your post with awe inspiring self-clicked photographs. We hope that you'll continue to post articles describing biodiversity in the future as well.

Děkuji :) Je to druh ježovky s velmi krátkými a ne příliš ostrými ostny, takže to nebezpečné není ;)

Díky, snažil jsem se tam nakouknout, ale Discord používám jen výjimečně, takže jsem tam ničemu nerozuměl :D Nebudu se nijak angažovat a ponechám to osudu :)

Já to myslel spíš tak, že nebudu nikomu říkat, aby pro mě hlasoval, když vlastně ani sám nevím, jak to tam funguje :) Jsem hlavně rád, že jsem měl fajn námět na článek. Když náhodou něco vyhraju, bude to jen bonus navíc.

Wow, those all look soo beautiful.. I did not know that Costa Rica puts so much effort into the protection of its wildlife, but I am glad they do.. No wonder this land is on top of your favorite places. Must be a heavenly place for a lot of people here :).. Thank you very much for this great entry and for participating in this contest!!
Thanks for this nice feedback, I am glad you like the entry :) Costa Rica has incredibly rich wildlife and beautiful nature and fortunately, they fully realize it and do their best to preserve the treasure they were given by Mother Nature ;) Definitely a must visit destination for all nature lovers.
