The Water Lily pads have emerged from beneath the water.
My cabin is situated very close to a large marsh and many acres of wetlands.
Marshes are a very valuable habit for many different kinds of wildlife. Beaver, moose waterfowl,birds,turtles frogs and insects. To name a few.
Fragrant White water-lily
(Nymphaea odorata)
There are two different kinds of water lilies on the marsh. They are beautiful to see but they also provide food. The Moose eat them. I know the beaver's really like the tubers that are underneath the water.
Yellow Pond Lily
(Bullhead Lily)
They are also many different kinds of insects and water bugs.
Pickerel Weed
(Pontederia cordata)
Pickerel Weed is another beautiful aquatic plant.
Kayaks are fantastic for maneuvering around and exploring the marsh. I find it easier to handle especially in areas where the water is shallow and going through various kinds of vegetation.
Marshes are amazing and ecologically they very valuable to all kinds of wildlife and aquatic plants.

The water lilies are so pretty to see floating ontop the water..🤗. The white lilies are especially exquisite.
There are many different kinds of aquatic bugs. The marsh is teeming with life..

I just love lilies here in Thailand we have some lakes and ponds with different colored lilies and aquatic life it's amazing they are almost in bloom season so i will have to go and photograph some for you 😊

Hey there @annephilbrick! Every time that I watch at one of your post they are getting qualitatively better and better!.. I feel so honored that you are participating in the contest with those nearly every week :).. I really like these pictures of the lilly pads and their little animals and plants living there ^^.. Those marshes are beautiful!.. Hard to decide a favorite pucture, but that yellow flower that looks like a orange is gorgeous.. Cant wait for next week, hehe ;)

The marsh has lots of the yellow pond lilies. Some areas have the white ones.
