THE UNSUNG HERO... AND TOSTADAS!
Trust me, they go together well.
Sometimes people wonder. Some are amazed at what @papa-pepper and family are able to accomplish. Some wonder when I sleep. Others are terrified when they hear that we have five @little-peppers, LOL.
@MAMA-PEPPER - MY UNSUNG HERO
Can you imagine a woman giving up all of her hopes and dreams in order to allow God to redirect her entire life. @Mama-pepper was once going to school to become a dental hygienist, which was her goal. Then, she encountered what God had to say about children, and we stopped preventing Him from having the freedom to create life. Soon, @little-peppers began showing up, and they haven't stopped yet. We had our first three, one at a time, in less than a three year period. We were immediately outnumbered, and while we didn't have a lot of experience, we sure had a lot of incentive.
Then we realized some things about the "public school system" and education in general. We decided to become responsible for the education of our children, and thus far @mama-pepper has been taking the lead in the home education of our children. To become a homeschooling, stay at home mother of five was not exactly her dream, but she wouldn't give it up.
It's not uncommon for @mama-pepper to still be up at midnight or later, dealing with kombucha, goat milk recipes, or other healthy, wholesome, nutritious concoctions to bless her family. She rises early, works hard, deals with a lot, and stays up to finish what needs to get done. She is learning every day and leading by example. On top of all that, she's got me to deal with as well, which can lead to a lot of "non-typical" situations, like pulling over to pick up a venomous snake or having turtles in the sink...
When I got done working my butt off all day yesterday trying to set up what our family will need for our future, I came home to the amazing line of bowls full of cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. I saw the tostadas and beans, and all of the hard work and care that was put into things. Eating is relatively simple and food preparation doesn't have to be complex, but this woman goes above and beyond.
While I may be a "one man show" when it comes to a lot of the projects that I work on, @mama-pepper is the one behind the scenes taking care of so much else. I honestly couldn't do it without her, and her assistance and encouragement mean the world to me. I didn't want to leave her in the shadows as an "unsung hero," so I figured I'd pause for a moment to sing her praises! Also, those tostadas were amazing, but not as amazing as she is!

wow @papa-pepper! Beautiful wedding photo! Beautiful wife! Beautiful food! It may have been a dream to be a dentist assistant once but you have given @mama-pepper a much bigger and better and more beautiful life opportunity in raising a fabulous family and home schooling them too . Much more creative and worthwhile and rewarding so well done for presenting a better life option to her!
