The arrangements for the first Steem Saturday is coming along speedily. Thank you to all that are assisting with the arrangements from a time and financial perspective including @naomi.louise, @robertm and @jacor.

We have decided on the following logo for the first event, and the logo will be available to anyone who arranges an event in their city or region. You are more than welcome to change the images if you choose to do so. We are sure the logo will evolve as everything does. You are also welcome to make suggestions on the logo in the comments section below.
Steem Saturday - A summary
The Steem Saturday event is open to anybody to arrange in their city or region. The aim is to have one Steem Saturday event, each Saturday somewhere in the world. Please volunteer for arranging the event in your city or area, by contacting @jacor by direct Message on Steemit Chat. We will support and guide you when arranging the event. It will not cost you money, only a bit of your time. This event will be more formal than a Steemit Meetup, and have a formal agenda, with speakers in a formal venue.
The target audience for attendees is much wider than Steemit bloggers, and will be focusing on the larger Blockchain technology, Crypto Currency enthusiasts. The event will also find an audience in the various industry sectors, which will be influenced by the Blockchain technology in the longer term.
The overall Steem Saturday website is currently in development and will be available early 2017. It will be based on something as follow.

The Steem weekend events
Friday Evening: Speakers Dinner - Attended by all the speakers, organisers and sponsors for the Saturday event..
Saturday - The main day of the event. Starts at 08:00 - 13:00. Opening Key Note (30 Minutes), followed by various speakers (45 Minute Slots). . The day will be closed off at 13:30 followed by drinking a few beers and mingling.
Sunday: The Speakers will be entertained by the organisers of the event for that city / country at local venues.
The event will be sponsor funded.
The first event will be limited to 100 - 120 attendees and it will be free to register and attend. This is only to manage the cost, and larger cities will obviously be able to accommodate more attendees.

We are waiting for a few more synopsis from the speakers. We will announce the speakers for the event as soon as we have all the information ready.
