Childlike? Does That Mean Gullible?

Good Morning Sunday.......
Dear Father, thank You for this NEW day. Guide us as we make this day's JOURNEY. Lift us as we fall. Show us Your LOVE, and HELP us to show Your Love to others. In Yeshua, Jesus Christ's Name we PRAY. Amen.

-Childlike? Does That Mean Gullible?

Are we gullible? We may not think we are, but are we? The idea of gullibility points to something that is precious to Our Father...being childlike. Right?

2 Witnesses:

“But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.”

Do we really have the childlike faith to take Him at His Word? Think about it: Who would have believed The Gospel if it hadn't been proven by His Word, His-Story, archeology, eye witness testimony, secular historians, and scientific proofs? Some people still think we are crazy for believing in God. They just can't imagine an Almighty God would decide to Save Humanity Through A Crucified, Resurrected, Israeli, Jewish, Carpenter. So, "they" think: Why wouldn't they believe in a bunch of preachers today who make seemingly outlandish claims?

God's Word tells us to test the spirits. Our Father is explicit in His Word, telling us not to believe every spirit, but to Test Them. The Apostle Paul was apparently pretty concerned about the gullibility of the Corinthians. It seems they were rather easily tricked by false apostles. God warns us many times in His Word about deception and tells us to be aware of false prophets and false teachers.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

““Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:15-20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So it seems that being childlike in our faith does not mean that we are to be naive. Here The Word states we are God's "little children," but also tells us to "test the spirits." Gullibility is no more a Fruit of The Spirit than is non-belief... or skepticism.

May we all be mindful, from this day forward, in the exercising of our discernment. May none of us foolishly slip into gullibility. Let us test the spirits to see if they are True. May a Spirit of True, Mature, and Bold Faith arise in each one of us. May we be ready at all times to Preach The Word, convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. May we all become intimately acquainted with The Truth. And May God Our Father Protect, Lift, Cover, and Shine His Face On Us All. In Yeshua, Jesus Christ's Name we pray. Amen.

“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”
