Meena and Raju went to school. On the way, they visit the nest of Mithu's sister, where she laid some eggs.

That day in school, their teacher announced that she is going for a teachers' training course and some other teacher is coming to their class. But the teacher was a very strict woman, she used to bring a parrot with he in a cage, the children had to repeat the teacher's sentences along with the parrot. She would never explain the meaning of the text or chapters. Meena and the other students didn't like this at all. Meena would sometimes ask questions, which made the teacher angry, and one day she also punished Meena by sending her out of the class. Slowly slowly Meena became very depressed about it. After going home, she declared hat she will never go to school any more. That time, one of the locals, Tara, asked her about the incident and said that the teacher was teaching them what a lever is. Tara said that she learned about it in school, she took Meena out with her and taught her what a lever is by showing her brother who is trying to take out a dead plant using the lever. Meena also helped in doing that. Thus she learned about levers.
