Is AKASHA Lying To Themselves And Everyone Else?

If you aren't familiar AKASHA they are a potential competitor to STEEM in that they are trying to be a social network where you can earn money. They are building the platform on Ethereum and have been working on the project for 1.5 years. In a previous post I talked about how it didn't make sense they were building on Ethereum and that it won't work until Ethereum scales which who knows when that will be.

Another e-mail went out today linking to their newest blog post which basically misstates that Ethereum is doing more transactions than all other blockchains combined which is completely false.

In a lot of ways I wish AKASHA would be successful and then we could post there and earn rewards on another platform as well but in the same token I'm sick of seeing misinformation as well.

AKASHA ....... Stop trying to make your own reality! There is no way you don't know that STEEM is doing way more transactions than Ethereum. You are trying to trick the baby back n00bs into believing false information!

For everyone else...... If you want to earn worthless tokens on the Ethereum Rinkeby test network by creating content on AKASHA then this is your chance!

Agreed, I feel the same, still I bought into SAPIEN, which is a ERC20 token, and will prolly buy Akasha as well, I bet many will read their publications and believe them to be factual :)

So it might be valuable platforms non the less, for ICO investing or what do you think ?

Peace

I'm not real big on the ICO space because a lot of times I read the stuff and it is pie in the sky stuff to me.

But yeah I'm sure a lot of people will read the stuff and think it is factual.

One of the big things I don't like about AKASHA is the fact that they have a client application instead of a web interface. That to me isn't going to work for a social network.

Don't get me wrong. If in 2 years Ethereum scales and they roll this thing out and I can earn off it I will throw my content up there as well. But to me the project is going down so many dead ends that are so apparent to me that it is ridiculous.

Sounds like an fair assessment, and there are much else that looks good anyway!

Thanks for the answer and your post :)

The lack of web interface is what is gonna kill this project in my opinion. Having to sync every time you want to use Akasha is just a terrible idea, as no one will have the patience for that!

Yeah it just doesn't make sense that they didn't go with a web interface / mobile app to begin with. Then on top of that they should have seen right away that Ethereum wasn't capable of what they were trying to do. I guess it is like a chick staying with a boyfriend that beats her all the time. "he will change." smh

steem is the king the blockchain, nothing can replace that.

All that needs to happen is for Kraken, Coinbase, and Gemini to add it and it could be on a legit take over path.

Most likely will never happen. More chances that Akashia will be successful. There is just not enough demand to encourage other exchanges to trade steem

So that is why Upbit and Binance added STEEM?

is akasha still alive :D? It was really shit and awfully slow, so I decided to uninstall it. Well if Ethereum fix their scalability it might work but perhaps it's not going to be popular since akasha was a little bit more complicated than steemit.

They are pretending to be still alive but honestly it is like trying to turn a honey badger into a lap cat. It isn't going to work out too well. lol

thanks for sharing for good information in ur post , so good luck my dear friend @brianphobos

The steemit community is consistently producing great content, with plenty of smart minds and great personalities making this place a great place to invest time and energy. All-in-all, there is no way that AKASHA can compete with steemit. It cannot come close to Steemit in terms of features, benefits or concept. It is not well planned and designed to compete with STEEMIT🙂

It would be funny, but the fact they are blatantly lying is irritating. I don’t understand why these blockchain socials don’t just use steem blockchain or wait until smts launch. You can’t make it work on ethereum, not yet anyhow

I hear you. It would be kinda cool to have anther social platform to EARN from but let's not be liars about it.

Interesting. I use the same triskelion logo as AKASHA. I sell jewelry though, hope is okay to post a link to show, etsy.com/shop/gemsnow
