I’ve heard a few times that maybe passengers should get to vote on who sits at the emergency door!

I worry this voting method won’t work. Because most people are going to want to vote for the most altruistic, heroic people.

But actually the guy I want sitting next to the emergency door is the world’s most selfish biggest asshole. He’ll get the door open faster and get out of the way. 🤣

In case you weren’t aware, some aircraft door rafts aren’t for using as a boat, just as a float to hang on to.

If you’re actually in the water you might get your head melted. But on the other hand you can duck under the water as you see a front of flame approaching you.

If you’re in the raft you can escape the flames being literally on you. But probably the footprint of the raft is too small to protect you from the adjacent flames and anyway it will suck out your air. Hmm.
