When my admission to the university came out. I felt a relief that I can now live the life of a real teenage girl I had wished for, not under the control of anyone. Not forced to cook or go to church.
Upon arrival on the campus, I started mingling with the happening girls on campus, not minding the warnings of my mum. I became pregnant for a course mate in the second semester of my first year. I was scared of abortion as my friends advised me that it meant nothing. My womb soon became a dumping ground for guys.
Life went on without my mum knowing whom her daughter has turned into on campus. Until my third year at the university. I tried doing my seventh abortion but the drugs I normally used didn’t work this time around that I had to take an excess dose of it since I had an exam the following week.

From school clinic to a specialist hospital, my mum was invited since the issue was near death. My mum wept sore seeing the daughter who was once a girl now a shadow of herself. I couldn’t help but weep along with her.

Mummy! I am sorry! I thought I was been restricted at home from enjoying my life. I wish I had listened to you.

Then came the sad news that my womb has been damaged due to the effect of the drugs I had been taking.
My world came crumbling down.
