Away from keyboard #14. Small Chegem waterfall, or Aday-Su (Maiden braid)
These photos were taken last fall. Perhaps, this is the best time for a walk in the mountains. At least in those mountains that are not very high and they have some trees painted by autumn in the most vivid colors.
You are looking at the Chegem Gorge in the Chegem district of Kabardino-Balkaria, Russian Federation.
Here one of the tributaries of the Chegem River flows.
If you walk upstream a bit you will see Small Chegem waterfall, or Aday-Su (Maiden braid).
The height of this waterfall is about 30 meters.
The path to this waterfall is not very convenient. At first I had to carefully step from stone to stone along the river looking for the narrowest part of the stream to get to the other side.
Tourists usually spend not too much time here. They just look around and go to other places of interest.
Therefore, you won't see any benefits of civilization in the form of cafes and little shops here. And that's beautiful! This is a great place to stay alone with nature for a bit :)
Away from keyboard #13. 15 degrees for 12 hours? Easily! Works on the both directions ;)
