Well if anyone has to bring some clothes, how many will he try? It depends, untill he finds a best fit and best colour that suits on him, so why can't we go through many partners or relations, untill we find a best match, it will increase our experience and we can find a best match.
There is much truth in what you say.
The hazard is that on the path, being in so many relationships, we lose our way, the goal for which we embarked on the journey in the first place. When that happens, it's good to go back to the basics - the choice.
