RE: Deliblato Sands. Zagajica Hills.

in #adventure6 years ago

Thank you for such interesting information about Deliblato Sands, have never thought that this beautiful area of valleys used to be bottom of Pannonian sea, but once you know you can imagine how they could be filled with water. I wonder if you start digging would you be able to find some fossils of sea inhabitants? The place looks wonderful in both seasons, although my preference is summer. I can imagine that in winter it is cold wind blowing and you really need warm clothes. That is a good tip about taking bicycle as a transport and of course water. Sometimes we forget about such simple stuff.

Sort:

There were some "oil sources" founded nearby this place so probably deep below the surface there are some fossil deposits.
Indeed cold wind blows through these lands and since there are no forest shields chilly winds reach Belgrade throughout autumn and winter, but still I am a fan of cold weather rather than hot and sweaty conditions. :)

Don't forget to hydrate! ;)
Cheers!
