Spending the day at Diamond Hill Mine with my friend.
On another day I travel again to the mine but this time with @ryulincoln He and I have gone to Graves Mountain and Diamond Hill mine in the past. We look through different dig areas and walk around the properties together. He has found some great specimens in past digs and we keep finding great crystals.
On our way up to the mine we drove through heavy rain caused by Hurricane Michael which was South of us at the time of us traveling to this location.
It was raining earlier in the day so it was perfect conditions to find shiny stones on the surface all over this property. Which I did, we found a crystal about every 10 minutes. I tried to explore other areas that @activate.alpha and I already checked out a few days before this trip.

@ryulincoln found a great thumb sized crystal point and I found many druzy crystals of all sizes and shapes. Even found a "Halloween Cluster", I will be sharing those next Friday as a very Halloween themed #fridayrocks
I need to do a recording of our findings at the Diamond Hill mine, soon to come.

Yeah sure is interesting, just walking around you can find amazing crystals. No need to dig at this location unless you want to.

There are no mines close to my house. This looks like a place where I could spend hours having fun!

I am lucky where I live, alot of people drive for days to visit this mine. I am lucky to live only 3 hours from it. So I understand, seems this area is rich with minerals.
You sure can, spend the whole day digging or just walking around finding stones.
That is how it is with the beaches around here. I have talked to people who had to drive a long way to get there. I'm 10 minutes from the beach.
It looks like your adventure is very exciting @solominer, hunting precious stones with special friends while enjoying a calm natural atmosphere, away from the hustle of the city

It was, we had alot of fun looking for stones. And yeah the weather was quite nice where we were.. Though just a few hundred miles south there was a Category 3 hurricane going on.
But was real nice we were, and yeah I do enjoy getting away from the city.
It looks like a beautiful place to be.
